Effective August 16, 2026. How PPSC Counsel collects, uses, and protects personal information.

PPSC Counsel PLLC (“PPSC”) respects your privacy.

This Privacy Policy explains how PPSC collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with ppsccounsel.com, PPSC Social, Send PPSC the Intel, and other website pages, forms, and features that link to this Policy (collectively, the “Site”).

This Policy applies to personal information collected through the Site. Information received in connection with an attorney-client relationship may also be subject to professional duties, engagement terms, evidentiary privileges, and other legal protections that are separate from this Policy.

Section 1

Information about other people

Information you voluntarily provide about another individual or entity—for example, an adverse party, counterparty, business contact, recommended professional, or person relevant to a conflict check.

PPSC does not ask general Site visitors to provide Social Security numbers, passwords, financial-account credentials, payment-card information, medical records, protected health information, or similarly sensitive information through ordinary website forms.

Please do not submit such information through a general Site form unless PPSC specifically asks you to provide it through an appropriate method.

Section 2

How PPSC collects information

PPSC may collect Personal Information:

Directly from you, when you submit a form, contact PPSC, request information, provide feedback, submit a Detour or recommendation, communicate with PPSC, or otherwise provide information.

Automatically, when you access or interact with the Site, through server logs, cookies, local storage, security tools, and similar technologies.

From service providers, when hosting, security, analytics, communications, or other providers generate information necessary to operate or protect the Site.

From other people, when another person provides information involving you in connection with a potential legal matter, conflict check, recommendation, feedback submission, or other legitimate interaction.

Section 3

How PPSC uses personal information

PPSC may use Personal Information to:

  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site
  • Respond to inquiries
  • Communicate with you
  • Conduct conflict checks
  • Evaluate whether PPSC can consider a potential engagement
  • Understand legal or business needs
  • Administer PPSC Social
  • Review Detours and community submissions
  • Receive and evaluate Intel and market feedback
  • Improve workflows, services, Site functionality, and user experience
  • Honor permissions and privacy preferences
  • Prevent spam, fraud, malicious activity, and misuse
  • Troubleshoot technical issues
  • Comply with applicable law, court orders, professional obligations, and regulatory requirements
  • Establish, exercise, or defend legal rights
  • Maintain appropriate business and professional records
  • Carry out other purposes disclosed when information is collected

PPSC may also use aggregated or deidentified information that cannot reasonably be associated with an identifiable individual for business, operational, analytical, and improvement purposes.

Section 5

Send PPSC the Intel and public quotes

Send PPSC the Intel is intended to help PPSC understand what is working, what is missing, where the experience falls short, and what clients, prospective clients, operators, lawyers, vendors, community members, and others wish the legal market did differently.

PPSC may review, analyze, consider, use, adapt, or decline ideas and feedback as described in the terms presented with the Intel submission.

PPSC will not publicly quote your Intel feedback and identify you by name or affiliation unless you separately give permission through the applicable optional permission control.

Declining public-quote permission does not prevent PPSC from receiving or considering your feedback.

Section 6

Cookies and similar technologies

The Site may use cookies, local storage, logs, and similar technologies for necessary functionality, security, preference management, and performance.

These technologies may help the Site remember preferences, protect forms, identify technical errors, understand how the Site is used, and maintain security.

The Site displays an informational cookie notice explaining how PPSC uses basic technologies. PPSC currently does not use advertising cookies, behavioral tracking, third-party analytics, session recording, or cross-context behavioral advertising, and there are no optional cookie categories for visitors to enable or disable.

Your browser may also permit you to block or delete cookies. Blocking certain technologies may affect Site functionality.

PPSC does not currently use the Site to sell Personal Information or intentionally use Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

If PPSC later adds optional tracking, analytics, or advertising technologies, this Policy will be updated and appropriate consent controls will be provided before those technologies are activated.

Section 7

Google reCAPTCHA

The Site uses Google reCAPTCHA or similar anti-spam technology to help distinguish legitimate users from automated or abusive activity where that technology is enabled.

When reCAPTCHA is used, Google may receive technical, device, cookie, interaction, and related information in accordance with Google’s own privacy policy and terms.

PPSC uses reCAPTCHA for security, fraud prevention, and spam prevention—not to sell Personal Information.

Section 8

Website platform and service providers

PPSC uses third-party service providers to operate the Site and business infrastructure.

These may include website hosting and application-platform providers, including Base44; security and anti-abuse providers, including Google reCAPTCHA where enabled; communications and email providers; analytics or performance providers where enabled; domain, network, or infrastructure providers; and other vendors necessary to maintain the Site and PPSC’s business operations.

These providers may process Personal Information on PPSC’s behalf or receive information necessary to provide their services.

Section 9

When PPSC may disclose personal information

PPSC may disclose Personal Information to:

  • Service providers and contractors that perform legitimate functions for PPSC
  • Lawyers, accountants, insurers, consultants, security professionals, and other professional advisers
  • People or entities involved in evaluating or handling a potential legal matter when authorized or legally appropriate
  • Government bodies, regulators, courts, law enforcement, or other parties when disclosure is required or permitted by law
  • Parties necessary to protect the rights, security, property, or safety of PPSC, users, or others
  • A successor or prospective successor in connection with a restructuring, merger, transaction, transfer, or other change involving the relevant business or Site assets

PPSC may also disclose information when you direct or authorize PPSC to do so.

Section 10

No sale of personal information

PPSC does not sell Personal Information for money.

PPSC does not knowingly disclose Personal Information to third parties for their own cross-context behavioral advertising.

PPSC does not disclose Personal Information to unaffiliated third parties for those third parties’ own direct-marketing purposes.

If those practices change, PPSC will update this Policy and provide any legally required choices before implementing the change.

Section 11

Third-party collection

Third-party providers used by the Site may collect technical or other information through their technologies.

For example, website infrastructure providers may process connection and usage information necessary to deliver the Site, and Google may process information through reCAPTCHA where enabled.

Third-party websites or services that you choose to visit through a link from the Site operate under their own privacy practices.

PPSC does not control those independent third-party privacy practices.

Section 12

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers transmit a Do Not Track (“DNT”) signal.

Because there is not a universally adopted standard governing DNT signals, the Site does not necessarily respond to DNT signals unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Where applicable law requires recognition of a legally valid browser-based opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control (“GPC”), PPSC will honor that signal for legally applicable sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising activities.

Because PPSC does not currently sell Personal Information or knowingly use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, an opt-out signal generally should not change those practices.

Section 13

Data retention

PPSC retains Personal Information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, subject to legal, ethical, security, professional, and recordkeeping obligations.

Retention depends on the type and context of the information.

Prospective-client and conflict information may be retained as reasonably necessary to document conflict checks, evaluate engagements, preserve appropriate professional records, and comply with legal or ethical obligations.

Communications and business records may be retained for the period reasonably necessary to respond, maintain records, protect legal rights, and comply with applicable obligations.

Intel, Social, and feedback information may be retained while useful for the purpose submitted, business improvement, community administration, or related legitimate purposes, subject to applicable deletion rights and recordkeeping needs.

Technical, security, and usage information may be retained for shorter operational, security, troubleshooting, or provider-configured periods.

Privacy permissions and request records may be retained as reasonably necessary to document and honor your choices.

When information is no longer reasonably necessary, PPSC may delete it, anonymize it, aggregate it, or otherwise dispose of it consistent with applicable law and professional obligations.

Section 14

Data security

PPSC uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures designed to protect Personal Information against unauthorized access, acquisition, use, alteration, loss, or disclosure.

Those measures may include access controls, secure communications, vendor controls, security tools, and other safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and PPSC’s operations.

No method of transmission, website, storage system, or security measure can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You should use appropriate care when deciding what information to transmit online.

Section 15

Your privacy choices and rights

You may contact PPSC to ask questions about Personal Information associated with you or to request correction or deletion of information you previously submitted.

Depending on your residence and whether a particular privacy law applies to PPSC or the relevant processing, you may have rights to request access to or confirmation of Personal Information; obtain a copy of certain information; correct inaccurate information; request deletion; request data portability; opt out of certain sales, sharing, or targeted advertising; limit certain uses of sensitive information; appeal the denial of a privacy request; or exercise other rights provided by law.

PPSC does not discriminate against individuals for exercising legally protected privacy rights.

To submit a privacy request, use the existing verified PPSC email address published on the Site with the subject:

PRIVACY REQUEST

PPSC may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before fulfilling a request and may deny or limit requests where permitted by law, including where information must be retained for legal, professional, conflict, security, recordkeeping, privilege, or other lawful reasons.

Where applicable law permits use of an authorized agent, PPSC may require reasonable proof of the agent’s authority and verification of the relevant individual.

Section 16

California users

The disclosures throughout this Policy describe the categories of Personal Information PPSC collects, the sources of that information, the purposes for using it, and the categories of parties to which it may be disclosed.

PPSC does not sell Personal Information for money and does not knowingly share Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

California residents may contact PPSC using the Privacy Request process above regarding rights available under applicable California privacy law.

Nothing in this Section should be read to imply that every California privacy statute applies to PPSC in every circumstance.

Section 17

Children

The Site is intended for a general business and professional audience and is not directed to children under 13.

PPSC does not knowingly collect Personal Information online from children under 13 through the Site.

If you believe a child under 13 submitted Personal Information through the Site, contact PPSC so the information can be reviewed and handled appropriately.

Section 18

International visitors

PPSC operates in the United States.

If you access the Site from outside the United States, your Personal Information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in the United States or other locations where PPSC’s service providers operate.

Privacy laws in those jurisdictions may differ from the laws where you reside.

Section 20

Changes to this Privacy Policy

PPSC may update this Privacy Policy as the Site, technology, legal requirements, or PPSC’s practices evolve.

The revised Policy will be posted on the Site with an updated effective date.

If a change materially affects how PPSC uses Personal Information already collected, PPSC will provide any additional notice or choice required by applicable law.
