How PPSC works

How PPSC Works

Serious legal judgment. Direct access. Practical recommendations. Flexible support built around how the business actually works.

01

Direct access

The person giving the advice should understand the business, know the history and be available when judgment is needed. PPSC is intentionally founder-led and built around direct access rather than layers of handoffs.

02

Clear recommendations

A long explanation of the law is not the same thing as useful advice. PPSC identifies the issue, explains the risk and gives a recommendation. When there is a workable path forward, the goal is to find it.

03

Business first

Understanding the business comes before editing the contract. Legal advice should account for the commercial objective, the actual risk and what needs to happen next.

04

Built to scale with the work

Founder-led does not mean every problem has to be solved by one person. Caitlin stays accountable for the strategy, judgment, and client relationship. When a matter requires additional capacity or specialized expertise, PPSC can coordinate the right support, with staffing kept transparent and appropriate to the work.

No staffing pyramids. No unnecessary handoffs. Just the right resources for the problem.

Technology with judgment

Technology that earns its keep

Technology should make legal work faster, clearer and more useful. It should not make the relationship less human.

PPSC uses technology and AI thoughtfully to improve research, workflows, organization and efficiency while keeping legal judgment where it belongs.

Contracts still require context. Risk still requires perspective. Strategy still requires an understanding of the business, the people and what actually matters.

Ways to work together

Not every legal problem requires the same relationship with your lawyer.

Different problems require different kinds of support. PPSC can step into a discrete matter, an ongoing advisory role, a major transaction, a difficult negotiation, a developing regulatory issue or the messy problem that does not fit neatly into a category.

01

Embedded counsel

Ongoing strategic legal support for businesses that need experienced counsel integrated into the way they operate.

This may include transactions, technology, privacy, healthcare, AI, risk, compliance and day-to-day business decisions.

02

Deal desk

Focused commercial support designed to keep contracts and transactions moving.

Review. Negotiation. Escalation. Playbooks. Practical decisions about risk. Legal support that understands the objective is usually to get the deal done.

Short timeline. Clear scope. Specific objective.

  • Privacy architecture
  • Healthcare launch review
  • Vendor-risk reset
  • Commercial infrastructure

Special situations

For the matters that refuse to fit neatly into a category.

A dispute. A regulatory concern. A business relationship going sideways. A deal that suddenly stopped behaving like a deal. A sensitive internal issue. A problem nobody anticipated. Sometimes the first job is figuring out what actually needs to happen next.

Fit + The Crew

The best work happens when the fit is right and the right people are in the room.

Fit

PPSC works best with businesses, founders, executives and legal teams that want counsel who can get into the business quickly, make judgment calls and help move things forward.

A strong fit usually looks like:

  • You want advice, not a memo for the file.
  • You value practical judgment and clear recommendations.
  • Your legal and business issues rarely stay neatly in one lane.
  • You want a lawyer who understands the business behind the document.
  • You appreciate direct communication and a practical conversation about risk.

Sometimes PPSC won’t be the right fit. That’s useful information too.

The Crew

The right answer isn’t always PPSC.

If you hire PPSC, you work with Caitlin.

But good lawyering also means knowing when a problem needs another perspective, specialty, jurisdiction or skill set. Sometimes that’s another lawyer. Sometimes it’s a vendor, consultant, security professional, accountant, operator, recruiter or someone else entirely.

I’ve spent my career meeting and connecting with exceptionally smart people. The kind of people who are excellent at what they do, whose judgment I trust, and who show up and do the work well.

Caitlin also genuinely likes connecting people who should know each other.

When something falls outside PPSC’s lane, you’ll know. PPSC can work alongside the people you already trust, help find the right person or resource, or make the introduction when the right contact is clear.

Lawyering isn’t a solo project. Neither is solving a business problem.

Know the problem. Know your lane. Know who to call. Then get to work.

The point

The hard part isn’t knowing the law. It’s knowing what to do next.

PPSC is built to bring judgment, clarity and practical perspective to the moments when the answer is not obvious and the business still needs to move.
